Our narrative unfolds four decades in the past at Johnson & Wales, where culinary school attendee and Sullivan County restaurant icon Randy Resnick honed his skills. Over the years, Randy successfully owned and operated several restaurants and catering ventures such as The Dodge Inn, The Nowhere Bar, Off the Hook, Fanatics, BHR, Crust Italian Eatery and Lakeside 55, where he crossed paths with his future wife April.  The duo embarked on a joint venture by reinventing the Catskills Legendary establishment of Bernie’s Holiday Restaurant (BHR), where they encountered the memorable “Mr. Shane” Phillipy.

Adored by everyone, Mr. Shane’s dedication to over the last decade led to a decision to name their newest venture after him. Now a managing partner, Mr. Shane’s Restaurant stands as a tribute to this exceptional individual.
