From the Beginning

Our narrative unfolds four decades in the past at Johnson & Wales, where culinary school attendee and Sullivan County restaurant icon Randy Resnick honed his skills. Over the years, Randy successfully owned and operated several restaurants and catering ventures such as The Dodge Inn, The Nowhere Bar, Off the Hook, Fanatics, BHR, Crust Italian Eatery and Lakeside 55, where he crossed paths with his future wife April. The duo embarked on a joint venture by reinventing the Catskills Legendary establishment of Bernie’s Holiday Restaurant (BHR), where they encountered the memorable “Mr. Shane” Phillipy.
